SAFETY VALVE LESER
What is a safety spring relief valve?
The main purpose of the safety valve is to protect human life, property, technical equipment and the environment. The spring loaded relief valve is designed to open and relieve excess pressure from vessels or equipment and close again preventing further discharge of liquid after normal set operating conditions are restored. A relief valve is a safety device and in many cases is the last line of defence. It is important to ensure that the relief valve can operate at all times and under all circumstances. The relief valve is not a process valve or pressure regulator and should not be abused as such. It should work with only one purpose: overpressure protection.
Main types of safety valves:
- Conventional SAFETY VALVE
- SAFETY VALVE with pilot control
- “Change-over” type
